Gift-giving can be so much fun and so easy with this Holiday Gifts In A Jar ebook which contains lots of resources for inexpensive gifts you can give for any occasion.

Most of the recipes require a quart jar, large or small mouth opening. A large mouth works easier to get the ingredients in. Canning jars are the best as they have the “ring” lid. This works great for adding a piece of fabric on top of the lid for decoration. You just put the fabric over the center lid, and screw the ring over the fabric.

  11. Place jars onto a cookie sheet or they'll fall over.
  12. Bake in a preheated 325-degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until a pick inserted deep into the center of each cake comes out clean.
  13. Remove jars from the oven, one-at-a time (use HEAVY-DUTY MITTS, the jars ARE HOT!); place a lid, then a ring on top and screw down tightly.
  14. Place jars onto your counter top to cool.
  15. You'll know when the jars have sealed, you'll hear a plinking sound.
  16. If you missed the sound, test them by pressing down on the lids once the jars have cooled--they shouldn't move at all.
